Water Facts

Everyone knows that water is essential to life, but what most people aren’t aware of is that the water they drink from the tap or from a bottle may not be as clean as they think. More and more homes and offices are switching from bottled and basic tap water, to filtered water because the benefits associated with drinking filtered water are so much greater.

Filtered water has been proven to remove more toxins from our bodies than tap water and bottled water combined.Using a bottle-less water filtration cooler provides tremendous monetary savings.

Bottle-less filtration coolers reduce the impact on our environment. Plastic waste resulting from drinking bottled water is measured in millions of tons each year.

Direct Savings

The average 16.9 oz bottle of water costs between $1 and $2.  That’s more than the cost of gasoline. Bottle-less all you can drink water filtration coolers have a low fixed monthly cost (as little as 75 cents per day). That’s an unlimited supply of fresh cold and piping hot water for all of your needs.

Indirect Savings

Sediment and minerals found in some water can damage pipes and appliances, shortening the duration of their use.  Bottle-less water filtration coolers  help protect your plumbing and help extend the life of appliances that use water.

Health Benefits of Filtered Water

Water filters remove more dangerous contaminants than any other purification method.  Filtration effectively reduces bacteria, cysts, parasites, chlorine, bad taste and odors, chemicals, lead, mercury and other heavy metals from your drinking water.

The effects of bottled water on the environment are hard to argue.  According to a report of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), roughly 1.5 million tons of plastic are expended in the bottling of 89 billion liters of water each year.

Important Facts about the danger of drinking Tap Water

Some common chemicals found in tap water such as chromium, arsenic, and disinfectant byproducts can accumulate in our body tissue and affect our developmental and hormonal systems. Trihalomethane, a compound that is a combination of chlorine and organic matter is present in tap water and is suspected as a contributor of cancer.  Pharmaceuticals such as antibiotics, sex hormones, antidepressants, and seizure pills have been found in the tap water of at least 41 million North Americans.  Water treatment centres are not currently required to test for pharmaceuticals and researchers are unsure if the cumulative levels are hazardous.

  • Although more than 60,0000 chemicals are used within the United States, only 90 contaminants are regulated by the EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Act (1974).
  • Both government and scientists have linked low levels of hundreds of legal contaminants in tap water that can cause cancer, reproductive difficulties, and
    other diseases.
  • Since 2004. more than 62 million Americans have been exposed to tap water that did not meet government health guidelines.  Some people have been unknowingly exposed to these contaminants for years.
  • Scientists have stated that the Safe Drinking Water Act (1974) is outdated and that drinking water in America poses serious health risks.  Until our government fulfills their obligation to protect us, our health is in our own hands.

Be a part of the solution, not the problem.
